I accidentally moved ALL my apps and all the .plist-files connected to them to the trash with AppCleaner. How can i get all the files back to their original place. When i try to put them back is just doesn't work. It either stops and says for example "Safari can't be moved bc it's part of the system" or it doesn't do anything.

If you emptied the trash and If you don't have a backup, then your only option is to reinstall them.
Nevermind, it seems you didn't empty the trash.

I would remove app cleaner if you had not already because as you noticed it does more bad then good.

Try the other apps, Safari, being a system installed app, may be different.

Hell of an endorsement of AppCleaner, eh?

What happens when you right-click one of the files in the trash... is there a return-where-it-came-from option?

That's the problem, it would be easy if i could just choose all and put them back to their original place. But only some files have this option. So when i choose all it doesn't work and i can't do it manually because it would take forever. So i guess i will just pick the apps i really need and put them back manually.
