accidentally deleted safari on snow leopard

i accidentally deleted safari, and im running snow leopard. the safari download on the apple site only works for leopard. any suggestions?

Do you have the install disk? Or dmg?

Have you tried running Software Updates? Not sure it would show up, but an easy thing to try. Does downloading the Leopard version cause an issue?

software update doesnt show up with anything. downloading the leopard version would not install on snow leopard.

yes, i have the install disk.

It'll be on the disk. Show hidden files on the disk and go into /System/Installers/ or something, and you'll see Safari.pkg or mpkg then run it.

then

killall Finder

and to revert replace YES with NO .

now i have safari 4.0 installed but i cant update it. the download on the apple site will only work for leopard. software update doesnt come up with anything.

Well.. You could try searching for a direct link to the download, or check VersionTracker, they sometimes post up links for the latest updates. And besides, only about a month until SL final is released.
