Accidentally Formatted SD Card - How to Recover Data?

Hi,

I'd like to recover data from my GoPro's SD Card - which accidentally got formatted. I made a longish video on my GoPro today and didn't realize that one video can span multiple files. Actually, I did know this - but, that wasn't on my mind in the moment. Anyway, after downloading just 1 of 3 video files from my SD Card I then proceeded to immediately format my SD card!! YIKES! I'm kicking myself now! Oh, BTW - I used my GoPro to format the SD card - if that makes any difference at all.

So, at this point I've removed the SD card to prevent any further damage. I'm looking for some kind of software (for macOS) that might be able to recover the other videos on my SD card. Fingers crossed.

A couple of apps on the Mac:
- Disk Drill
- Data Rescue

BUT... not sure if they'll work on a card that isn't "Mac-formatted" (i.e.,not HFS+ or APFS).

There may be recovery software "on the PC side" that can help...

I've used photorec to do this before

Not sure if it'll help with a formatted SD card, but used Easeus Recovery Wizard for Mac to recover a corrupted SSD drive before.
