Even tho I clicked "cancel auto install" then the red bubble with the "1" on it disappeared. Should it still be ok and come back on next update?? Still would give me auto notification??
 
It should reappear. All you did was deny the auto-install feature, but it doesn't prohibit you from downloading the last software update. It should reappear when you connect wifi.

Click on Settings -> General -> Software Update and see if it gives you an option there to install.
 
Since I hit cancel auto install, does this mean it won't automatically let me kno when there is new updates??
