So I purchased an iPhone 5s from Apple.com. Being curious, I went to check the status of my order, to see about the return policy.

I clicked "return", select item I would want to return. Then it set up a label for me and told me a return was requested! No confirmation or nothing!

But I didn't even receive the phone yet. It's still being shipped. So, what do I do?

Do I have to return it now? I have 14 days, what happens if I don't return it?

I was just trying to look at my options. I didn't think it would let me set up a return just like that.

I just feel weird because if I don't intend to turn it in.. what's going to happen to the page?

Nothing wrong with having the return set up just in case, but it's almost like it expects me to return it, what if I don't want to?

After the return window (14 day) is over the return status would probably just void or cancel. If you're concerned and want to resolve this asap, I'd open an Apple Chat or call them directly.

In SG, for returns we usually get a call from Apple to set up date/time for collection & the Courier Company people also call then ... so on the first call from Apple you can just say to "cancel" the return request as it was made in error ...

Nothing will happen to the phone until it ships ... the return doesnt mean they will stop your shipment

If you don't want to return it who can take it from you? Just forget about it.

What were you trying to do exactly?

Well, there's no way you can return it right away. You have 14 days to return once you have received your phone.

If you choose to keep the phone, just ignore the return label.

You buy from Apple you get 30 days to return it. Get it from carriers and its 14 days. Unless you live in California and its 30 days from a carrier.

Return policy………….

Standard Return Policy
There are a few important things to keep in mind when returning a product you purchased from the U.S. Apple Online Store:*
You have 14 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it. For an Apple iPhone, you have 30 calendar days.*

Only items that have been purchased directly from Apple, either through the Apple Online Store or at an Apple Retail Store, can be returned to Apple. Apple products purchased through other retailers must be returned in accordance with their respective returns, and refunds policy.

Please ensure that the item you're returning is repackaged with all the cords, adapters and documentation that were included when you received it.

I opened up my Apple email and it said: Please send us your items by December 19, 2013.

I'm guessing if I don't send it, it will be cancelled.

Apple will consider that you still want to keep it, and the carrier plan will go through. The 30 day return window will end and all is well.
