Hey all, I asked a friend to plug my phone in to get it charged and she hit update lol. Long story short, I was in Uganda, and had the phone unlocked there so I could use it, I believe it was on 4.1 or 4.2.

I came back, and all was good until this happened. Now when I try to do a restore it givs error 1015.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance. Is there a way to reverse the unlock process or something since I'm back home now?

Well you likely updated the baseband so an unlock may or may not be possible. I'm not current on 3GS basebands. You can re-jailbreak it though with PwnageTool or Redsn0w.

Here are some jailbreak/unlock guides from iClarified.

you should accidently smack her in the head, its no accident to download a 600MB file and hit yes about 3 times

what firmware and baseband has it updated to?

Yes, many smackings ensued. I'm fooling around with tiny umbrella... and it looks like I managed to 'activate' the phone lol .. Tinyumbrella tells me its 4.1 at the moment, and 06.15.00-6.4_M3S2 for baseband. I will update if everything is good to go.

Ok, nevermind. It seemed like it was working for a second. tinyumbrella says its 4.1 ios and 6.15 baseband.

Let me know what to do from here please.

OP

My gf did the same thing to her iphone3gs and I've been working on fixing this problem for a while? Thanks!
