i was cleaning the screen with water and accidentally got some water in the charging port and maybe even speaker/headphones jack, i quickly freaked out and cleaned, now it looks dry (outside) but not sure about the water inside the port caused any damage?

i just tried connecting to computer, syncs fine,
when connecting to pc it says on the screen "battery charging", however i'm running ios 7 beta 6 and don't see any charging indicator, the icon on top-right status bar is not flashing like previous beta, so is this because of ios beta error or because it's not charging?

Only way to know for sure is to downgrade back to the latest stable iOS 6 public release and test the charging icon there. It wouldn't hurt to leave the iPod in a ziploc sealed bag with rice for 24-48 hours. That will help absorb any leftover moisture that may be inside. That's what I would do first before ever powering the device on again.
