Accidently deleting text in horisontal iphone 6-mode

Am I the only one getting really frustrated deleting text with the keyboard on Ios / iPhone 6?

When I have the device in horizontal mode I often accidently hits the undo button and another letter before noticing I have deleted all the text, and then I can’t get it back?

Or am I missing something here?
