Accidently exported MOV out of iphoto to JPEG

Hello there. I accidently exported all my photos and videos out of iphoto and chose JPEG option for both. Now my MOV's wont play. Anyway to reverse this? Unfortunately I already deleted the originals without knowing that there were movie files in iphoto.

Aren't the originals still in iPhoto? I've just Exported a movie as a jpeg, and, of course, that exported file doesn't play. However, the original is still in iPhoto and plays fine.

I wiped out and sold the computer so there aren't any originals.

No, without a previous version of the file, what you exported is all there is.

Sorry if I sound harsh, but a lesson to be learned here about backing up files on our machines. Have seen so many of these post on here. External drives are extremely cheap these days and can be real lifesavers. I am sorry though that you have lost your movies.
