Accidently upgraded my iphone 3gs to 3.1.3

Well,
After 1 week of having my iphone stuck in apple logo after messing with sbsettings I thought it was time to do something else, so i decided to send it to a friend or someone, my little cousin was exctied to do it, I was desperate so I decided not to sub estimate his skills.
But what he did was TODAY upgrading to the last version that Itunes gave him. He thinks he solved it, and well, I let him thinks that, because he tried a lot. However, I think he messed it up.

I dont know my baseband.
I dont know if its old botroom, I think yes, since in the iphone says Model No and begins with A1
I just know that I need my iphone URGENTLY in 1-3 days, I dont care if I cant call, etc. I just want to use my iphone applications, jailbreak it, etc. I cant use the phone since I need a sim to activate it something like that. >

I was thinking to buy an Itouch but I think its not the best solution, and my budget isnt so good to do so.

So please, any help?

Wait a few more weeks.
When 4.0 is officially out you will be able to JB and unlock it again.
