Hello,

I’m living in a building with shared WiFi. There is no password, just have to sign in one time with email the first time.

It is a public network so AppleTV can connect to the WiFi but apps like TV+, Netflix, games, etc. won’t work. The rooms are private and there wouldn’t be any sharing of the movies, etc.

Each room has a smart TV which has no licensing issues with streaming Netflix, etc.

So why won’t AppleTV work?

And is there anything I can do to get AppleTV to work?

I bought a TP-LINK device that is supposed to turn a public network into a private WiFi for my room but I can’t get it to connect properly.

I have tried spoofing the MAC address but nothing changes.

Any help would be great
