Account issues after Lion

I installed on my Mac Pro and after it came back up all my accounts are missing from the login screen except for Guest.. and it won't accept any password I try. I can connect to the machine from another computer and see the drop boxes for the other account but I can't access anything. I do have a recovery disk on the mac pro apparently.. but does anyone have any suggestions?
