iPod touch account not signing in

this is a follow up of my last post. i found an account id and password that i hadn't used in a long time so i entered it on my ipod touch 3g and it didn't work. note i have an existing working account for itunes. so i tried to enter my normal account and it kept saying that the password was invalid so i went on my computer and reset the password and tried entering my username and password on my ipod again and still didn't work. anyone know how to fix this
