One of the accounts on 10.11.3 (but also on several previous versions of El Capitan) has an issue with nothing being saved after computer restart.
It includes app settings, system settings, dock settings- the lot.
Example 1: In iTunes, every time I log in, it presents me with a box to say the volume is all the way down. I tick "Don't remind me again.", turn the volume up, and after a restart the volume is down and the box is back.
Example 2: Anything I put in the dock and move around disappears and reverts to a state of a previous time I can't define (but still customised) after a restart.
Example 3: Any settings I implement in other apps or System Preferences revert to what the were after a restart. These again were customised at some point in the past and revert to those, not default.
I've tried running first aid etc and if I can help it I don't want to re-do the account from scratch, so any advice would be appreciated!
