Hi all,

I am currently looking for accounting software running under OS X to run a small NGO (4-5 people). It appears that MYOB AccountEdge and Quickbooks both offer native solutions.

But which one is better? Quickbooks appears to be significantly more expensive than AccountEdge. A person who has been helping us with financial reporting is using Quickbooks so while I might get the Mac version to ensure compatibility, is that really necessary? It is possible to export data from AccountEdge and import in Quickbooks? Or should we go for a more basic software solution all together?

btw, I am not an accountant but have a basic understanding of the principles.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I'd be interested to know this as well. I am about to start a small business (just me as a sole trader to start off with) and will need some basic accountancy software.

What's an NGO by the way?

NGO= non-governmental organization

Liquid Ledger makes a good impression in terms of interface.
