My ACD is hooked up to my Macbook Pro and when I wake everything up after sleep, the MBP screen is instantly at full brightness but the ACD wakes up at what I'd approximate is about 60% brightness and then takes 30 seconds or more to achieve full brightness.

I'd assumed this was normal for the ACD, but now I'm beginning to wonder. Can ACD users confirm if this is normal please?

this is true for almost all LCD panels that do NOT use the LED backlight technology, which i'm guessing your MBP has, which is why you see the difference. LCD panels with the florescent lighting need to 'warm' up.

I can't say that I have noticed this, but then again, I have only had mine for 6 days so far.
