ACD cables too short?

I have a 20" ACD connected to a 12" PB. But I have an aesthetic problem: I have a mess of cable on the table because the ACD cables are too short for the ACD power brick to be situated under my table.

Does anyone else have the same problem, with possible solutions?

I guess this is the cable from the brick to your display.

And NOT from the brick to the wall.

Yes, I had the same problem with Mac mini No.1. I hid the powerbrick (it's only small) behind the ACD stand, stood upright with the wires disappearing down behind the desk.

It's infuriating that the design, lovely as it is, fails to take into account that not everyone's computer sits on the floor! There should really be separate power and display cables rather than having it all bundled together.
