ACD HD + 2016 TB MBP?

Has anyone had luck connecting a ACD HD to the 2016 TB MBP?

I tried using a Monoprice DVI to USB-C cable. The display would appear for like 30 seconds before the ACD goes blank. Any help would be much appreciated.

Solved.

1 - Dongle proved to be finicky. After some trying charging and video worked.

2 - Alternate option which also worked: DVI -> HDMI -> USB-C.
