I have an ACD at work hooked up to the supplied PC.

When I boot up the PC, the ACD will blink 3 times quickly. According to Apple's website, this means that the resolution is not supported (which seems to make sense, as the PC is outputting 640x480 during Windows boot. Once the machine boots, the ACD apparently 'times out' or something and I have to unplug the monitor from power and plug it back in and then I get a picture.

Any other work arounds? Unplugging it everytime a Windows update comes down is growing old.

Get a DVI switch or jerryrig a HDMI switch from Monoprice. Switching between channels should be the same as unplugging it. Granted, it will cost 30.00+, but that is the price we must pay for not having to deal with the drudgery of having unplugging a DVI connector.

You mean - for not having to deal with the drudgery of windows.
