I have an older Apple Cinema Display and I recharge a device using power from one of its USB sockets. I normally do this with the connected Mac switched on, but is it possible to do it with the Mac switched off?
When the Mac is off, the LED on indicator of the ACD is off. There is an on/off button on the right side of the display, but pressing it has no obvious effect. Is it not possible to have the display on and the computer off?
