ACDSee Pro Beta - Can you help

I have my photos stored on ACDSee Pro Beta Version 1.1.(148) running on OS X version 10.5.8 I am going to do a clean Install of Snow Leopard soon and would for now like to save all my photos to an external HDD , and wait to purchase the final version of ACDSee for Mac's , can some one please tell me how I can store Just my photos that are currently all on ACDSee Pro Beta Version 1.1.(148) to an external HDD, I am not too sure what to do , and I don't want to loose any of my photos

I would copy the items to a folder on the desktop, then drag that folder to the external Hd icon.
