Acer is £580 and Dell is £480, torn between the 2.
Aside from size, which model would you pick, and why?

Most definitely the Dell:
- Higher PPI
- (Much) Cheaper
- Supports DisplayPort daisy-chaining
- Nicer design
- Better colour accuracy
- Gets better reviews
- Can be rotated to portrait mode
And I just trust Dell over Acer.
What's up with that completely pointless DVI-D input on the Acer?
The only advantage I can find in favour of the Acer is that it has built-in speakers.
Is higher PPI a good thing when it comes to 4K though? Obviously in retina mode it will look much cleaner, but if I decide to use the full 4K native resolution at times, the Acer will be easier to read?
- I meant better. Amazon user reviews might not be the best indication of quality, but the Dell does get a higher average score there. You say that the Dell gets better reviews, do you mean 'more' reviews as it's more popular? I can't find a bad review for the Dell.
- That's true. Though you did ask that we didn't pay attention to size (so I suppose I shouldn't even have mentioned PPI).

Digital Trends also prefers the Dell to the Acer.
And surely, if you can't find a bad review for the Dell, that's a good thing.
That's true. The Dell does look an awesome panel.
You mention no speakers on the Dell, it was handy on the TBD I have for sale, but not a deal breaker.
I just want something nice to last me another 4 years or so like the TBD has.

- I think you'd be more happy with the Dell. Are there any features that make you consider the Acer above it (apart from speakers)?
Also, may I ask which machine you have?
