Most definitely the Dell:

- Higher PPI
- (Much) Cheaper
- Supports DisplayPort daisy-chaining
- Nicer design
- Better colour accuracy
- Gets better reviews
- Can be rotated to portrait mode

And I just trust Dell over Acer.

What's up with that completely pointless DVI-D input on the Acer?
The only advantage I can find in favour of the Acer is that it has built-in speakers.

Is higher PPI a good thing when it comes to 4K though? Obviously in retina mode it will look much cleaner, but if I decide to use the full 4K native resolution at times, the Acer will be easier to read?

You say that the Dell gets better reviews, do you mean 'more' reviews as it's more popular? I can't find a bad review for the Dell.

The price difference is a moot point, as I'd rather spend the extra £100 on a panel that will last me.

Thanks for the reply! :D

- That's true. Though you did ask that we didn't pay attention to size (so I suppose I shouldn't even have mentioned PPI). :)

- I meant better. Amazon user reviews might not be the best indication of quality, but the Dell does get a higher average score there.
Digital Trends also prefers the Dell to the Acer.

That's true. The Dell does look an awesome panel.

You mention no speakers on the Dell, it was handy on the TBD I have for sale, but not a deal breaker.

I just want something nice to last me another 4 years or so like the TBD has.

:D

- I think you'd be more happy with the Dell. Are there any features that make you consider the Acer above it (apart from speakers)?
Also, may I ask which machine you have?

Bought the Acer, having the 32" means I run it native with no scaling. The MacBook came early also, also loving that. 4K is mental!
