Hi

I have this Acer display hooked up to my 2013 iMac via display port
I thought the text wasn't looking particularly good. Kinda blurry/not sharp
While it does say I'm using 2560x1440
I had read a review that the dp was limited to 1920x1080
While I don't think that is true
Would a dual link Dvi cable be better?

- I really doubt that. Even DisplayPort 1.0 can do 1440p at 60Hz. So Acer would have to have screwed something up for it only to do 1080p.

- Yeah, I saw the same one. I'd say he's talking nonsense.

Also, if I'm understanding you correctly, your own practical experience tells you 1440p via DP works. I'd trust that over a Newegg reviewer.

Though seems better on 1.1 than 1.2 for some reason
It's just that the text on that display didn't seems as sharp as the iMac

it doesn't make any sense, but i just tried an Apple display port to dual link dvi cable and it looks a lot better.
