Ack! Adium/AIM problem came back

The problem I was having a few weeks ago connecting to the AIM network just came back today. The details of the problem can be found in my previous threadHERE. However, this time repairing permissions and zapping pram do not seem to fix anything. It has to be something wrong with my iBook as no other system connected to my router is having this problem. Also, its not a problem with my connection in general because im having no trouble browsing or doing any other net activity.

the best thing about the mac rumors forums: after struggling with this problem all day adium finally connected 45 seconds after making this post. i realize there has to be some sort of underlying problem causing this. but its amazing that just posting here has fixed the problem twice now.
