Acquisition 'no active sources'

i've just downloaded Acquisition, all paid for etc, but each time i try to download a music file it spends ages trying to connect and then tells me that there are no active sources. This happens even though the icon in the bottom left hand corner tells me i'm connected.

can anyone help me?
