Acquisition problems with leopard

Acquisition will not connect ever since I installed Leopard. Ive reinstalled various times succesfully but when i start it up it always says it is connecting. I have tried other P2P clients and they still dont work. I turned off both the leopard firewall and my routers firewall and it still didnt work. The P2P apps on my brother's PC ran perfectly using the same connection. What should I do?
