I just downloaded the copy and got the serial...but it has no where to enter it? and doesnt ask for it?

how do i fix this? and where do i put it?

there should be a yellow banner at the bottom you have to click something forgot what but if there is no banner than you already have bought it and just bought another serial for no reason at all
