I have an iPad 4th gen pre-ordered and planned to put my 3rd gen on EBay soon. I've considered cancelling and holding on to my current one but this gives me some hope that programmers will start taking advantage of faster processor. I worry that sales of the 4th gen will be low and there won't be enough motivation for programmers to do so. Hopefully this is the first of many.

Well I tested it on my iPad 3rd Gen and don't get real time effects.
