Activate I Phone 4s 5.1.1 w or w/o valid sim card?!

HELP! Im a NOOB !!! I am trying to activate/unlock my I Phone 4s on 5.1.1. I am stuck on the slide to open screen / connect to iTunes screen. I have a trimmed sim that registers but with no service. I have ATT and do not want to spend the money to active. The only 'jailbreaks' I've seen so far require prior activation. I've spent days trying to unlock/jailbreak/activate/setup[unbrick(i know that impossible on 4s, but you know?)]

Plz, send link to activate w o w/o sim. Also accurate link for micro/macro sim trim (measurements correct/ready to print).
