Activate iPhone 6

I have an old iPhone 4, which was activated with an EE SIM. I erased it, and tried to activate it using a GiffGaff SIM, and it failed, understandably, as the GiffGaff SIM had never even been in this phone.

I also have an iPhone 6, which has had both SIMs in it, with the GiffGaff one in there now, but it was activated on EE. If I erase this iPhone, and try to activate it with the GiffGaff SIM, will it work, or will it block me like the iPhone 4 did?
