Activate iPhone4 with PrePaid AT&T Sim Card ?

Hello all,

Assume I have iPhone 4 which is not activated yet. I also have AT&T PrePaid Sim Card (GoPhone).
Will I be able to activate iPhone 4 if I just cut my prepaid sim card to make it fit to the iPhone 4 and connect my phone to iTunes ? Or I must have plan with AT&T in order to activate iPhone 4 ?

Iphone 4 Gophone

My Iphone works great with at&t gophone service, i bought an micro-sim(gophone) off ebay and it works!!!

When I got my iPhone 4, i left the new sim inside it, connected it to iTunes and activated it but got no service until i swapped my old sim into it. So I would assume it would work as long as you put an AT&T sim in it.
