Activating a new 3gs

right now i have an unactivated 3gs, and i only have a tmobile sim card.. i can only access the emergency call screen right now and nothing else, it apparently has ios 4.1 on it. any ideas what i can do here to at least get into the iphone? i dont want to activate with att (no sim card). (the iphone is on the connect to itunes screen and itunes says sim card not supported, to get an official carrier card to activate)

Only way u can activate on 4.1 is with an AT&T sim and there's not even a jb or unlock yet.

So get a SIM. GoPhone, O2, H2O, Net10, inactive AT&T and Cingular will activate it in the US.

so im gonna need a stupid att sim card just to activate it before i can even try using my tmobile card in it.. i just have to wait for the 4.1 unlock and JB for it

Yes, but even after it's activated your Tmobile sim won't work.
You gonna need a jb and unlock still.
But activated you could use it as a touch for now.
