activating an iphone 2G

i am having problems with my 3gs screen being unresponsive at the bottom. i dont have time to get to apple right away so i planned on putting my sim in my old 2G. is there a way i can get passed activation on itunes where i have to reselect a plan. i am an AT&T customer?

thanks any help would be great!
