I had boot camp installed on my computer with windows vista. Then I purchased Parallels. I got it working just fine except that when I go to activate vista through parallels it says that its already in use by another machine. I don't know what to do. Can someone help me?

That same thing happened to me while installing XP. Bootcamp installed fine than Parallels asked for the key again because it thought it was a new computer. I have no idea why it happened.

There is a lock file you have to delete in the Library/Parallels folder where the vm image is stored. I had to do it a few times if parallels quit or crashed while a vm was open. You should be able to Google it, i have not done it in a long time.

I called the MS reg line, worked through the automated system, and got an alternate reg # to use in Parallels.
