Activation + AT&T

I was 6th in line at the AT&T store by me, i was in and out of the store in 20 minutes.

What bothered me was that the phone still hasn't seen the network "says searching" == All 8 people they were selling to at the same time had the same thing. The manager said "it wont work until you connect it to your itunes at home".

I disagreed, but pretty much felt it was futile to fight with him, and went home to try his suggestion..

Been 20-30 minutes already adn I still have "searching"

Any one else having the same troubles?

I have plugged mine into iTunes and chose the restore option instead of new iPhone. It restored everything from v1 to 3G, but I get "No Service". I just finished restoring and am going to try again.
