So a friend of mine found a Series 3 watch in the gym that she manages. Held onto it for about a year, and then decided to give it to a friend of hers. So she gave it to me to wipe it; I factory resetted it, then ran into the dreaded activation lock.
After scouring the internet for weeks, and finding several different ways to bypass it, none of which worked, I gave Apple Support a call today. The guy on the phone said that they could do nothing for me, which makes sense - it's supposed to be an anti-theft measure. The only way to get around it would be to find out who the original owner is and contact them.
Does anyone have a suggestion here? At the very least, I'd like to get in touch with the original owner and see if I can buy it off of him/her and have them unlock it, but without the IMEI, there doesn't appear to be a way to do that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
