I just purchased an iPhone and attempted to activate it via iTunes, and port over my Sprint number. I got the error message that said the number wouldn't transfer. Sprint said it was ATT's problem. ATT customer service is closed (it is Saturday evening). The ATT store said that you couldn't activate iPhones and port over a number on the weekends because all the "porting" centers were closed, and to wait until Monday morning. Is this true? Am I s.o.l. and do I have to just get a new cell number??
