Hi,

I am starting school here in Belgium in September, and I will be studying ICT (IT) and I will use my mac, but also my pc for programming and other junk..
To make it myself easy, I had been thinking of making a connection between my MBP and my Acer Aspire 5680.
Is it possible to establish a USB connection between the two? Do you need software in addition?
Or what is the most reasonable solution?
I will be taking them to school, both, so its not only for at home, it needs to be something that is easy and within budget..

Thanks alot

what kind of connection? an ethernet cable between the two should be able to create a little network for file transfer

What would you use the connection for? Transfer file? Control the other computer?

I would use an ethernet cable.

Yes, find a way to access the Mac's HD from the PC, and backwards...
I can already use remote control to control it, but it is really for fast transfer, instead of using a Flash drive or external..

Thanks for you quick response !
Cheers

Its just that I've never used it, and it is new to me, but since I will be studying about it, things will start getting smoother in the end.

Plenty of tutorials I suppose ?

Problem Solved:

- Using the Connect to server, I entered the IP address I recovered from my PC, connected from my macbook, and bang! Access to my shared folder.

Only downside... only 1 mb/s it's something!
