I know Yosemite has issues with how it handles SMB so I've gone ahead and forced it to mount as SMB1 but my issue is that the share that's in active directory does not mount correctly.
Currently in Active Directory user home share is "//Server/Students/StudentID#"
So when a user logs in the drive that mounts is the "Students" drive rather than their "StudentID#". The dock will however place a folder into it with their home folder which is their "StudentID#" folder. The issue we have is that when a student wants to save files or open files they need to go to the "Students" drive then select their "StuentID#" then they can save or open files.
Prior to OS upgrades their "StudentID#" folder would mount as the mounted drive and made life very easy.
Thank you for any feedback or input!
