Hi folks,
Its the first post here at macrumors.com so apologies if I make any mistakes but it seems pretty active here so perhaps you guys and gals could help..
I am currently on my Dad's old iBook G4 which is a "PowerPC" I have been told (I don't know why its got Power in the name its quite slow
). I don't know a lot about it, all I can say is that its running Tiger 10.4.11 with a 1.33Ghz processor with 768mb DDR SDram. Thats what "About This Mac" is telling me.
Anyway the problem is that I have a 80GB HD and the main partition where the OS is and then a random empty 6GB partition. I would ideally like to resize this 6GB partition to something larger like 10GB or if that isn't possible merge it with the current system partition. I have tried an application called iPartition but it doesn't let you alter active system partitions so i'm kinda stumped and it seems even the holy google has run out of possible anwsers!
If anyone could help it would be appreciated.
