Noticed after playing a round of golf with GolfShot the exercise and calories rings hardly moved. And no workout was recorded. What gives? Did the latest OS update change activity parameters? I do know my indoor cycle in the past few days also didn't register.

I've got a thread about this here, too.
Just did another 2 mile walk and zero exercise movement on my rings.
It's definitely aggravating, as we strive to move those rings!! ha

Yeah I agree. Its frustrating to look at the activity ring icon and see nothing changed. You have to remember you worked out and then open the right day to see your stats in the iPhone app.

I understand Apple designed the exercise part to be equal to a brisk walk, and the parameters that could mean. Problem is not everyone (by age, health status, condition) can meet that requirement. So why not modify things so credit is given based on fitness/age/health and not just a broad brush.

Did you start a Golf workout in the Workout app on your Apple Watch? We’re you walking or riding a cart. If all your doing is riding in a cart between shots, you're really not getting a lot of exercise.

This golf app (along with others) integrate with the health app. Steps, calories burned, time of play, etc. I used another app before called Hole19 which actually tracks walking s as a workout. So before it worked but now it does not. Yes walking vs riding makes a difference. But others say a 2 mile walk is not moving the exercise ring.

I’d say double check in the Health app on your iPhone to make certain that your golf app is allowed to write to Activity. It could have gotten inadvertently turned off during an upgrade.
