Is there a way to force Activity.app to use Health.app data?

Wrist trackers have always had difficulty when pushing Shopping Carts or Strollers. But that old problem was solved in Health.app where the app was a central hub for multiple trackers (iPhone, Watch, Up Band etc) and it figured out actual steps.

The problem we have with the Apple Watch is that it seems to be a standalone product that doesnt actually use data aggregated in Health.app.

Id love to find a solution for this because fitness tracking is one of the primary reason I bought an Apple Watch but if it can't use iPhone data to help track push steps then it can't do its job.

If it is actual steps you are after, you are out of luck until a third party app offers a solution. If it is fitness activity you are interested in, though, an option is to start a walking workout (with heart rate tracking enabled) before you start walking with the stroller.
