I did two successful runs without my iPhone. In both cases I got a fairly accurate map of the track I ran, a pace overview for all kilometers and pace averages for all segments I manually added while running (double tapping the screen).

However, since yesterday I made two runs with my AW2 and in both cases the following happened:

- Pace and kilometer information during the run were visible and accurate (judging from a comparison with a friend's phone)
- After ending and saving the workout, the summary of the run – average pace, distance, time, average BPM – are synced.
- However, neither pace by kilometer nor map are available. The segments I set during the run are detected and have the respective elapsed time but distance has only red zeroes as entries and the pace is missing altogether.

The same happened with a short outdoor walk I tested around the block.

The GPS by itself seems to be working, as the data during the run are accurate and I can see my current position with Apple Maps and the iPhone in airplane mode.

Has anybody experienced similar problems? Any idea what might cause this problem?

Are you using a dedicated running app, like Run Keeper, or what is baked into the watch?

I've read that the workout app isn't as accurate as, say, a Garmin running watch. I'd be curious to know how the workout app compares to an app like Nike+ or Run Keeper.
