I use my apple watch to track my exercise and have a perfect record for many months. i am thinking about getting an IPhone 7 to replace my 6 but don't want to lose my exercise record. Will it transfer over to the new phone? How would you do that?

2 ways;

Perform an iCloud backup and restore; its encrypted so transfers your health and activity data.

Or

Perform an encrypted iTunes backup and restore (in iTunes it'll ask if you'd like to encrypt your backup when you back it up).

Either will work fine.

When you transfer your data over you may find the Watch sticks at the last recorded activity before backup and syncing to iPhone 7.

I did the same back in September (6s Plus to 7 Plus) and it only started to register when I started a workout and brought my phone together with iPhone within the first 20 minutes.
