Activity monitor shows 4.25GB of RAM with 4GB installed

I just thought this was rather peculiar and was wondering if anyone knew what might cause this?

This machine is a Hackintosh but the memory is correct in the About This Mac window.

Unless other OS X users on actual Macs have the issue, this is probably why. Does it really matter? Let OS X think its got 4.25GB if it wants to.
