Parents bought themselves an iMac, and have just recently set it up.

The admin account is in my mother's name. I helped them use Migration Assistant to get lots of stuff of their old PC (which years ago was mine).

However when looking at Activity Monitor it shows the user as my name.

A quick look on the User's bit shows the admin account (which I'm on) as my Mum's name/Apple ID etc.

Can anyone explain why my name is popping up in the user bit in Activity Monitor? Apart from filling out online order forms I don't think I've put my name into it. Is it something to do with really old data on my parents PC?

My best guess is that you had an account on the old PC which was not fully removed.
