Activity monitor won't open

My activity monitor is running, but when I click on the icon in the dock, nothing happens. I've tried restarting my Mac, but that does nothing.

Also, it would be nice to know what the colors mean for the ram usage, since I can't open it and see what the colors mean for myself. Fairly consistently I have 50% yellow, 25% red, about 23% blue, and about 1-2% green.

Hit cmd+1 and presto chango it'll return.

Ad for the colors, see the Help menu.
