Activity Sharing Friends Gone - AW4?

I unpaired my AW2 from the Apple Watch app on my iPhone X today and then paired my new AW4. I noticed that my Sharing section on the Activity app solely showed “Me” even though on my phone all my friends were there.

I preceded to sign out of iCloud on my devices and sign in again, but still no friends showed up in Sharing on AW4. I then unpaired the AW4 and repaired again and still no luck .

I was running 12.1 on my phone at the time. I’ve since tried updating my AW4 to WatchOS 5.1 to see if it fixes the problem but alas my friends still only reside on the Activity app on my phone and not the AW4.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Yep, same boat here. Tried all the things you did plus turning on and off my AW4 and iPhone X. No luck. :( I hope Apple is aware of this issue and plans to fix it.

I even tried setting up as a new Apple Watch today and removing ALL my friends from the activity app. As I send invites and add them back they are still only showing on my phone. This is pretty lame. iPhone X and AW4 here too :(

Everything looks normal here.

iPhone X with iOS 12.1 beta and Watch 4 with wOS 5. The difference is that I didn't unpair the old watch before setting up the new one since I wasn't sure if I was keeping it or not.

Hmmm... your post makes me curious if I pair back up the old watch if my activity sharing would be fixed. Still have it lying around...
 
Let me know if that works for you. I still have my old watch laying around as well. I just sent a message to my friend that works at the Genius Bar to see if he has had others come in with the same issue. Just for clarification my watch is the GPS version. I’ve literally tried every single troubleshooting step that can be done, it’s possible that our watches could be defects?

If you do try it let me know what order you do things.

I did try that and even restored the old watch from a really old back up. No luck. That being said, I’ve read stories on the internet of people having the same problems and it fixed itself overtime through software updates. That or it’s a problem with their iCloud.
 
This happened to me initially, but after a day the shared feature came back with all my friends activity. Check the iPhone activity app and see if your friends are still there.

Yup everything is on the activity app on iPhone , just not Series 4 (except Me). It’s pretty frustrating you’d think it would be more widespread if it was software and not affecting just some of us.

@HoshidoPrince is your AW4 a GPS too?
 
Yes, my AW4 is GPS + LTE. I am equally as frustrated as you are about it haha. Activity Sharing was one of my favorite things. Let me know how that iCloud clearing goes for you. Mine is starting to get pretty full too.

No dice for me , also tried pairing my old watch. I cant do the new watch update because I’m on 5.1 beta, have you tried it?

So not sure if this will help. I got my SS S4 and installed from backup from my S2. Though my friends were listed on my iPhone it wasn't showing on watch. Strange enough my fiance who I share with was seeing zero activity because her watch was still pulling from my S2 for some reason which was inactive.

I went to my phone activity and chose her name and it asked if I wanted to share with her. Now she sees my activity. I'm not quite sure how I did it exactly other than I can say info on friends watches was pulling from s2 activity until I went to each person and chose share with them.

[doublepost=1539221220][/doublepost]Nevermind I think I see what your referring to. You can't see anyone else activity except on your phone. I only see myself on my watch though it says sharing I can't compare with others unless I look at it on my phone.

Still have the same issue it’s really frustrating! I tried to go to the Genius Bar but it was a 3 hour wait, anyone else with luck? I even double checked everything such as contact email on iCloud account and made sure my S2 was properly removed. Super annoying.
 
I've not had any issues..

All my friends on older apple watches still show up as well as my friend that has an S4 watch. Not sure what to tell you!

I would say be glad it's only a 3 hour wait for genius bar - I went to schedule an appointment at my local apple store and they were booked a week out!
