Among the starlings
Hey folks -- I usually keep Activity Monitor running in the background in order to keep an eye on potential problem processes (I'm looking at you, Firefox!)

Lately, activitymonitord has begun to consistently eat 11-12% of the CPU (previously it would be generally under 1% with occasional spikes). Any idea what might have changed or how I can get that back under control?

This is on a 2012 13" rMBP running the latest Mountain Lion, if that makes a difference...

Thanks!
