Will the space gray Apple Watch Sport be similar color to space gray iPhones/iPads or will it be darker as it appears in renders/pictures?

I'm really thinking about getting one but in my opinion it's a bit weird if the color is different than my space gray iPhone.

Thoughts?

Same color as iPhone 6, iPad Air 2, iPad Mini and iPods

The only sure way is to have both items in the same picture, same lighting - or see them live.
And, that will be next month, eh?

I'm not sure I like the mirror finish of the SS watch to be honest.
The link bracelet is not mirror finish, so why would they make the case mirror finish? just so that it actually looks different to the aluminum one?

Actual color of space gray apple watch sport?

Only two of those photos are space gray. The one in the middle is actually the stainless steel version.

Edit - my mistake, the middle photo shows both the space grey sport and the space black stainless steel model (or so it looks like), but I'm guessing it's the standard stainless steel as that the only one which comes with a black sport band.

In the photos it looks darker. Maybe its the lighting or possibly darker since the metal is technically stronger than the iPhone 6/6 plus?

From the photos I'm starting to think the SG Sport actually looks better then the SS. The SS looks like a mirror and will show a lot of fingerprints.

Nice. Thanks for these. The bottom one especially looks similar color to the iPhone 6. Dunno about the top picture thought. Looks quite dark to me.

I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Check YouTube. It's actually darker than the iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2.

I would pay $600 for an aluminum Space Grey model with Sapphire Display.

this will annoy me

as i said I think Apple (or Ive) is sometimes obsessed with shiny metals, and these look good in renders but not so much in real life. There's a reason iPhones don't come shiny anymore.

I was going to say that my "good" watch right now is SS and not shiny but I just checked and it turns out it's actually made of titanium (it was a gift and don't wear it often). Maybe we'll need to wait for the Watch Titanium... no way in hell i'm going to spend money in a fingerprint mirror.

I agree with you. It reminds me of the back of the ipod touch 1st and 2nd gen. I hated the fingerprints and scratches on the back of my ipod
